Nouvelles données de l’éducation pour l’ODD 4 et plus

Les nouvelles données de l’Institut de statistique de l’UNESCO (ISU) révèlent qu’il y a toujours environ 262 millions d’enfants, d’adolescents et de jeunes âgés de 6 à 17 ans (soit un sur cinq) qui ne sont pas scolarisés. Ces chiffres s’élèvent à un enfant sur trois qui n’est pas scolarisé dans les pays à revenu faible et à revenu intermédiaire inférieur.

Dans le cadre des Objectifs de développement durable (ODD), les pays se sont engagés à « Bâtir une infrastructure résiliente, promouvoir une industrialisation durable qui profite à tous et encourager l’innovation ». En particulier, l’ODD Cible 9.5 les appelle à encourager l’innovation et à augmenter considérablement le nombre de chercheurs, ainsi que les dépenses publiques et privées consacrées à la recherche et au développement.
