Digital cinema

Definition

Place that primarily engages in the commercial projection of cinematographic or audiovisual works in digital format. Cinema with digital projection equipment enables the projection of images of the same size and equivalent quality as compared to the traditional film copy (35 mm). The film copy is replaced by a numeric file that is stored on a server. To be considered as digital cinema it has to use a minimum of 1.3K resolution (refers to images with 1300 horizontal pixel resolution).
