2nd Iteration of UNESCO-UNICEF-World Bank jointly conducted survey to monitor national education responses to COVID-19 school closures.
As part of the coordinated global education response to the COVID-19 pandemic, UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Bank are now launching the 2nd Iteration of the Survey on National Education Responses to COVID-19 School Closures. This is the second in a series of surveys administered to ensure that the latest (updated) information on the evolution of country responses to COVID-19 are captured. The first survey was carried out in May 2020 and covered 118 countries. The results of the first round can be found at: http://tcg.uis.unesco.org/survey-education-covid-school-closures/
The survey seeks to collect information from Member States on the country-wide scope of national education responses to the mass school closures from pre-primary to upper secondary levels. Responses to the survey will help better guide local/national policy responses to mitigate the impact of school closures and help prepare for the reopening of schools. The results will also help inform the actions of partners mobilized through the UNESCO Global COVID-19 Education Coalition.
In light of the current education crisis, the COVID-19 education response coordinated by UNESCO with our partners is deemed urgent. Thus, responses to the survey should be submitted in a timely manner. Given the urgency, please note that this 2nd iteration of the questionnaire is due to be completed and submitted either online or sent to COVID-19.survey@unesco.org.
The questionnaire can be completed online or downloaded here in the different language versions:
